Privacy policy

Studio Fosse Lien (org. no. 935 151 171, Herslebs gate 19, 0561 Oslo, Norway) makes Fangst and is responsible for the information described here. Updated 8 November 2026.

The extension

Fangst only sees the tab you capture, and only when you ask it to.
Your screenshots stay on your computer. They go to your clipboard, and are saved to your Downloads folder only if you ask. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
Your settings, and whether you have Pro, are stored in your browser. If you have turned on sync in Chrome or Edge, they follow your browser profile to other computers.
The purchase code is checked inside the extension, without going online.
The extension has no analytics, tracking or ads.

When you buy Pro

We use your email address to send you the code and, for Vipps purchases, the receipt. The purchase reference, time and amount are kept by the payment service.
If you pay with Vipps or MobilePay, Vipps MobilePay processes the payment. If you pay with card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, Link (Stripe) is the seller and processes the payment under its own terms.
Emails are sent from our own mail server at Gigahost. The website is hosted by Netlify, which keeps ordinary server logs.
We have no database of our own, and the website uses no cookies.
The legal basis is our agreement with you (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Details of Vipps purchases are kept for five years because Norwegian bookkeeping law requires it (Article 6(1)(c)).

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction of and deletion of your information, as far as the law allows. Write to studio@fosselien.no. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet, or to the authority where you live.
